My website has gone through numerous changes & overhauls….this being the latest. I’d not be honest if I didn’t say I get frustrated and restless that its not perfect with the right call buttons, inspiring blogs and sharing’s and practical videos that I can churn out at a drop of a hat.
I worry about whether there is enough traffic being generated and if I am enough to keep my followers interested.
It’s always the last frontier of a topic I bring out with my coaching clients. Yet I grapple with it everyday. Whenever I spot myself being “Hustle Aida”..I check in. I remember my own voice telling my clients that this “Am I good enough?“ phenomenon exists in all of us. It is very useful when it drives us to focus and get things done, but it’s a pain when it has us lose patience and forget the main purpose of doing and living our lives. Am I enough for my clients to get inspired? Do what I share and facilitate good enough? Will I make it through today? It takes its toll on me in that I lose focus. In the rush, I get distracted, I worry and delay my important decisions.
So, to get back in my game, I often turn to Karen Salmohnson, best-selling author and creative expert (notsalmon.com). Her quirky, creative quotes set on beautiful artwork never fails to energize and remind me how simple life can be. In preparing for the New Year, I’d like to share this fantastic one with you
In our quest to “get there”, there being thinner, healthier, richer, loved, successful…we tend to grind ourselves silly. What I learned all these years is that the moments where I felt fulfilled, joyful and the event I was hosting was successful was when I put my heart into it, without having ANY THOUGHTS on whether it was good. I just got into the moment and played full out. I tuned out the worry and anxiety, instead I told myself…”Lets have fun Aida..do your best. You’re worth it, anyway it goes “
So, instead of cracking your heads for a New Years Resolution, I invite you to commit to treating yourself with Love this year. BIG LOVE.
Wake up being GRATEFUL. Talk to yourself as if you’re talking to a cute, wide-eyed 5 year old. Go easy with the high-flying expectations. Stay present.
When you treat each day as a blank slate, the more your spirit will assist you in achieving your important dreams this year.
My commitment this year is to do my best to share my thoughts, my tools from both breakdowns and breakthroughs of my experiences with you. This blog space is where I put some if not most of the pieces I find within myself so it can offer some clarity, perhaps guidance for you in your own path. May we all have Joy, Love and Abundance this year!
Lots of Love,
